Construction output is forecast to increase 5.3% in 2015 and 17.8% by 2018.

Dr Noble Francis, Economics Director of the Construction Products Association said industry growth will be “more broad-based” as a further increase of 10.0% in private house building is expected to be supported by 8.0% growth in commercial offices and 7.9% growth in new infrastructure. Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) has agreed to provide a full secretariat service for the Institute of Builders Merchants (IOBM).

The latest arrangement, which is effective from 1 February 2015, means that the BMF will undertake all administrative duties for the Institute including membership renewals, meeting arrangements and minute taking, and promoting Institute events.
